Yes(cons)- because some of us would be more active and do other things other than the Internet which people get easily addicted to. Also little kids can give out personal info to strangers which can lead to rape cases and other federal offenses.

No(pros)-because if they have cable television or satellite t.v. they could easily get addicted to that. Also, the Internet is a good resource, for the weather, books, reports, sports, etc.
The Internet helps us in many ways even though some are unnecessary. I also believe it also may keep some kids from doing bad things because they are occupied with the Internet.

Based on my pros and cons....my answer is No..we would not be better off....we'd probably be less advanced.

I grew up without the internet. Honestly, I played outside ALL THE TIME (then again, times were different -- we could play outside as kids after dark -- I'm 49 years YOUNG).....BUT the thing is, the internet has also become a GREAT tool which I love. I find it sad that predators attack little girls so much --- but I'm ALSO sad that these little girls (teens) are so vulnerable. But they come home from school alone and lonely and wanting attention. My mom was home everyday. Let's face it .... the world has changed and it's going to continue to change which is good AND bad in many ways.
