Do you believe that the dynamics of two personalities can cause stalking or violence within that relationship where as if that couple never met, neither would have elicited the negative behavior in other people?

I would have to argue that people stalk celebrities they have only seen on TV or in the movies. In this case, the stalker is responding to an image created by the media and in fact, the behavior is triggered not by the actual energy or chemistry of the celeb. (did you see Borat?) but by the perception of the stalker. Stalking is a mental illness that may manifest itself in any given relationship, up front and personal or imagined.

Barbra's right, "staking" behavior is a perversion of love, or actually a lack of maturity in love, its only one notch up from obsession, which is a perversion of lust and attraction, which are love at its most simplest. So the missing part of the equation would be their perception of that individual. So nope you could be a factor but not the sole causes. No love is that powerful, without the choice of the individual. Besides since the orginal cause of such behavior is a pervesion of the reality of your feelings, its actually a pratice in a life long struggle with denial, and a constant fight with reality......
