If you're old enough to be married and you still can't type out whole words, your marriage is going to fail.

Precious, why do you do this to yourself? Why dwell on something that hurts, although -I'm certain- was not meant to hurt? Focus on the positive in your relationship, the things your husband does for you, the little -or big- things that show you how much he loves you, not the s.t.u.p.i.d. answers he gives to s.t.u.p.i.d. questions you ask...please, I'm not trying to be rude. But, put the magnifying glass on the good things he does and you'll make yourself smile and be happy, without him feeling like he never does or is good enough to make you happy. I'm sure he loves YOU the woman, the wife, the human being, the friend, the confidant, the everything, not just the physical aspect of you. It's beautiful when you can actually be sure that your husband not only loves you because you're super attractive, but knowing that he loves you for who YOU are, inside out, must be a wonderful thing; be thankful that you're so fortunate.

you should take it as a lesson. NEVER ask a question you can't handle the answer to. if you just wanted your husband to say what you wanted to hear, then there was no reason to ask. i'm not sure why women ask these questions. either you thought he would say "yes" in which case there was no reason to ask, or you didn't know the answer and were willing to take a gamble.

i ask my husband, "do i look fat in these pants?" and he says, "you've looked slimmer." i thank him for his honesty, take off the pants and put on something more flattering. why do i ask? because i am willing to handle and accept his HONEST answer. i'm glad my husband doesn't lie or sugar coat things. and i can tell that he tries to say it in the most gentle way. so, instead of being hurt, go back and ask your hub, "what do you think i could do to be more attractive?" but only ask that if you are willing to hear his HONEST answer.

he is tiptoeing around the answer as not to offend. He wants to give you a thoughtful answer. But he must love you as a whole person... a hard question to answer for him to consider the aspects of you he finds attractive.
You're looking into it too much and, perhaps, so am i.

it could be that he feels you are being shallow (which i dont think you are) but just tell him how much you used to love it when he told you how beautiful or hot you were and dont forget to tell him how you love the way he looks and it may encourage him. If you feel that he meant you were not attractive, ask him and ask him what does attract him.

Here's an idea- don't ask him those kind of questions. If he thought you were ugly as a dog he would have never dated you, let alone marry you.
My husband would give a lame answer if I would ask that question, just because it should be an obvious answer that he does!

He could have been more diplomatic, but remember there is no way for a man to answer that question truthfully and not get in the doghouse.

I think he means that he loves all of you, not just the physical side.

I think what he said was miscontrued. He was saying you have tons more enduring qualities than just your physical attributes.
