ok i know latitude does not have an altitude...i think...but what is the highest degree?

You're a bit confused.

Altitude is vertical distance from the ground. For example, if an airplane is 40,000 feet above the ground, it has an altitude of 40,000 feet.

Latitude is your angular inclination from the equator towards either the north or south pole. For example, the north pole is at 90 degrees north latitude, the south pole is at 90 degrees south latitude, and the equator is at 0 degrees latitude.
