Americans have no say whatsoever in who is even nominated to run for President. It seems that is left up to the corporate media. I, for one am disgusted with the choices we have for President. The only one worth voting for has no media coverage at all, and that is Ron Paul. We are no better than Communist China or the old Soviet Union. Disgusting!

YOU SAID A MOUTHFULL OF TRUTH THERE my friend. NONE Of them are worth voting for. They are all owned, sponsered and manipulated by corporate media and corporate greed. the only thing that will ever change thing in the country is for another country to take it over. Won't matter anyway. There probably won't be an election this time. War with Iran and decleration of Martial Law will curtail that event happening real quick.

There has in no way been a shown rigged election, inspite of the undeniable fact that it rather is a perplexing component to coach. The Republicans screamed in 2008 that there have been ineligible electorate yet learn confirmed there have been a tiny, tiny proportion (like 7/one hundred of a million%) that did not impression the election. Now the Republicans attempt to require government identity to vote, which might eliminate lots of the poor, elderly and scholars who have not got a driving force's license with a close-by handle. in case you want to call that attempting to rig an election, I agree. yet another component that has been performed interior the previous is "redistricting" of Congressional districts. they convey about about loopy barriers that are meant to do not something yet determine a district would be many times Democrat or Republican, finding on who's doing the redistricting. lower back, it rather is legal yet i think of it rather is rigging. yet yet another occasion is the infamous "putting chads" in Florida interior the 2000 election. The very Republican Florida Secretary of State exceeded adequate votes over to George Bush for him to win. lower back, it rather is legal yet could be considered rigging.

Wow! That's a pretty cynical view. First, you are only talking about the President. That's what draws all the attention. There are lots of other offices and propositions that get voted on.

Nevertheless, maybe Ron Paul doesn't draw that much attention because he's a little nutty. I've heard him and I won't be voting for him, and I'm a registered Libertarian and card carrying member of the Libertarian Party. Why won't I vote for him? Because his views on national security are naive and dangerous. They basically boil down to, we'll leave the rest of the world alone and everything will be peaches and cream. HOGWASH! He's also been hanging out with the Truther crowd, another nutty bunch.

So far, the only potential candidate that really excited me, decided not to run for President last month. So I'm not that excited about any of the current batch.

Whose favor do you think it's rigged in? I suspected a rigging but now I'm not sure because Dems took control of Ohio. If Diebold was really responsible for rigging Ohio machines in Bush's favor, you would think they'd have had Reps win at least the Senate race and some of the Congress districts.

Why is everyone around here obsessed with Ron Paul? If you do not think he will win, then who is it rigged for - Hillary? I'm voting for her, but I'm so afraid of America's obsession with white males. It's very scary.

To the Dems who are saying they're voting for Kucinich or other people - this is probably going to be a tight race, and don't act like you're not voting for Republicans when you vote for a no-chance person. That's like giving your vote away. I'm from Ohio and love Kucinich too, but he will understand if I stick by my party's choice for President.

Well, it's not exactly rigged...but you are right, the Liberal media does have a super-sized influence...and it's pushing for Hillary! Ahhhhhh! But we shouldn't fear. Over half of America vows to vote against Hillary...no matter what. That's a bit comforting...There's no way she will become president when that many people are against her. Not even the media can stand in the way of the STOP HILLARY EXPRESS!

...that is, if the Conservatives don't split off and vote for a third party candidate....then we're doomed!

can't argue with that.

we are told that we have free choice in our elections, but are then given a pool of candidates who are all literally exactly the same.

where is the candidate who represents real change?

kucinich? paul?

they are ridiculed by the mainstream press and this includes, pbs and fox news.

dennis kucinich brought a motion to impeach dick cheney yesterday and not one mainstream media source covered it with any detail at all.

the dems don't 'have time' to give it serious consideration.

i no longer support hillary or obama - i'm voting kucinich.

he's the only one out there who is at least trying to do the people's bidding.

Corporate media...Are you mad? What power do they have these days? And since when did they ever control the output from their predominantly liberal correspondents?

The mainstream media is at it's weakest point in decades - thanks to the internet and talk-radio - and the trend is getting worse for them

Ron Paul is a horse's ****. Less than 1% of the nation supports him. He doesn't stand a prayer, and thank God!

Jeezus, you are a complete moron!

Yeah, the neocons will rig the vote anyway, so the dems might as well stay home. :)

Edit: to the poster above me. One of those "idiots" who are running IS going to win. We just don't know which side yet. It's inevitable. Might as well get to packing, if your statement is really what you mean.

10 years ago I would have argued this with you. But today, seems all politic ans are crooks, don't care about the taxpayers, can be bought for a dollar. Gets harder and harder to vote every election.
