does shaving make the hair grow back faster and more hair???

Only to a certain degree - shaving allows hair to grow to it's proper length.
For example: If you keep your "bad" teenage mustache until you are 20, and THEN shave it off - it will FINALLY grow to the length that it SHOULD be ;););)

Well shaving your light (vellus hairs) will definately make it grow back faster and darker each time. However shaving fully developed hair will not get darker and grow faster.

no, it doesnt grow abck faster or thicker...as you get older, it will grow faster and thicker, but when you shave, you are just cutting it down to the root. think of when you get a hair cut, does your hair grow back faster or thicker, no, it just has that appearance. as the hair on your head gros back it just looks thicker, but it really isnt...you cant change the amount of hair follicles you have or how fast it grows. just when it is short you see all the stubble, giving it the appearance to be longer.

no basically what happens is when you shave you are cutting down to a thicker part of the hair so that when your hair starts to grow it grows thicker. it just seems to be growing faster becuase the coverage of each hair is greater.

NO! I shave my balls and chest everyday! If I lay off it grows back very slowly! It's just an Urban legend!

I think thats true, I shave my arms and I know if I dont keep up with it then it comes back a lot faster.

Yes & more coarse texture too , but it's the fastest way to get rid of hair without much preparation & without leaving your home.
