Should I be worried if my coolant light comes on when I first start my car but goes off and stays off after about a minute? I have a 2001 Saturn SL1.

That will happen if the coolant reservoir is low, or the hose to the reservoir is off or clogged.

You have a low coolant level in the reserve bottle, might be just below the line, add some coolant to just over the line. All should be well.

If there are no leaks i might advise having the strain cap examined. If that is undesirable you need to be pumping severe coolant into the overflow catchment the place it particularly is evaporating over the years.

Check your owners manual. It will tell you if that light is a self diag light (meaning it comes on when you first start the car during the self check system) or a problem indicator
