You don't need it, but it will look clearer.

On a normal TV you'll still have a great looking system, but when you jump to HD you'll see alot more clarity - fine details that you didn't see before will be there. Without an HDTV the graphics will still look very real (far better than any of the last gen consoles) - but yes, HD will make a difference.

No because your Xbox 360 games are already on HD. I use to a cheap TV that I bought in 1998 & it the graphics looks good. Now I bought a 38'' HDTV with 768P & it looks awesome! To answer to your question no but, it will look good on HDTV.

The PS3 owners they must have HDTV & it is made only on HDTV. Not for standard TV.

yes you do since the best picture is on a hd tv the best graphics have the highest pixel count. An hd tv has at least 1280 x1020 pixels. Regular tv has less than 640 x 480

to realize its TRUE potential (IE the BEST) then yes you have to have HD.

Anythign less and it wont show you (on the TV) how good the signal is coming out of the X Box

Remember Not EVERYTHING looks better on a HiDef screen, if you play an old PS-One game or watch an old VHS on a HiDef (and AT hiDef resolutions) you will see how it has to "bend and extend" the picture, this causes distortion.
Third generations gaming consoles are NATIVELY in HiDef resolutions so the pictures doesn't have to be "up-converted" and distorted.
