I can't get it to work. I've bought a new card but it gets no power so I thought I'd replace the slot but can't get the computer open. I took all the outside screws out. I thought maybe the port was disabled but what is it called? And, how would I take it out. It seems that there are two screws I can't get to in the middle.

It is the PCI slot. A word of warning: If the laptop did not originally come with an internal wireless card, then it might not have a power slot for the internal card. Personally, I just use an external wireless card on my Presario 2100. (I just purchased a Buffalo G + MIMO, it is amazing!)

You can not get your laptop apart. I'm willing to bet that you tried to take it apart from underneath. You can't do that. You have to pry up the grill covering the speakers (located above the keyboard). Start from the right side with a flat head screwdriver. Take the keyboard out, and you have access to take the entire laptop apart.

Download the manuals from the manufacturer. I've provided a link. These are very thorough and well laid out.

Good luck!
