Why does every parent think that just because we are 13 or 14 years old we going to get "pregnant"!!?? We can't help it that there are other retards out there doing it!!! Parents just don't uderstand teens! And they wonder why teens run away!!!

parents don't understand anything. they are not willing to listen to us at all, and they treat us like crap just because of the midea. I also think that most parents (at least mine) are still lifing back in the 70's or 80's when they were teens and trying to convince themselves that we are in the same world. but what they can't possibilly see is that we do not live in the same world they did. 2007 is much much different than 1977. we face much more than they did, we are the ones who worry about getting shot in school, we are the ones who live as teens now. our parents did not have the same emotions, they did have their own, but they are NOT the same.

The thing is that parents do understand. The were that age once too. They had the same feelings as you do. We worry because we know what it is like to raise a child. Sadly there are many teenagers giving birth. I am not saying that they may not be good, responsible parents. Just that at age 13 or 14 you still have so much life yet to be lived. Surely you are not telling me that Teens run away because of disagreements with their parents telling them about taking safety measures and the consequence if you don't or being asked to abstain from having sex all together, until you are a bit older. I think that is sad for the parents. As they love their children and if what you are saying is being relayed to the parents. I feel sorry for them, as that is one of the most heartbreaking things ever to happen. Have you ever watched Missing children. Look into the parents eyes. Their souls are wrenched from their bodies. One day you will understand. Until then, if you leave, leave on good terms, keep in touch with them, as in the not too distant future, you will need them and understand what Love is. :-)

As a parent I wouldn't sume up that teens are out wanting or looking to get pregnant. Maybe a few are but now all. The few that are are usually seeking attention they feel that they are lacking from home. If you don't like parents stereotyping teens why do you stereotype all parents? I think those that are getting pregnant are also naive and are in the mind set of "it won't happen to me"

Keep in mind that your parents were once teenagers too and went through the same emotions you are feeling right now. The situations may be different that teens are put into now but trust me, they how how you feel.
They did it, they lived it, they made mistakes and hopefully learnt from them. They want and KNOW what is best for you.
We were all once, are or will be teenagers. So don't say your parents don't know how you feel.

Parents only care for the best of their children and that's why they are being so overprotected and strict sometimes.Kids nowdays only think about themselves and how they will be happier without considering how their parents may feel and that's a sad thing.If a child is responsible and mature it has nothing to lose by trusting its mom or dad.I think that almost every kid lie and that's one more reason for the parent not to trust easily.Make your parents a part of your life instead of letting them imagine things for you.

13 and 14 year olds dont go out intending to get pregnant. They get caught up in a moment, or find themselves in a compromising situation where the moment is forced on them.
Parents do understand, more than you can know. We've been around longer, and understand how things work more than a child can- its what makes us parents.
Be glad yours care enough to say no, and to set limits, you'll be glad for it once you're an adult.

dont want to be rude but im sure your parents are wayyy smarter than you. and they do understand. there are perves out there who wants to ejaculate in young dumb girls body. and their always about 13 04 14 getting pregnant. young girls often fall for things like this. ur parents care about you and dont want you doing the same thing. thats why females should listen to their mothers

we understand teens we were there once we know what its like and you can help by not having sex until your married i made the mistake and got pregnant at 17 i was even on b- control i know people whjo have gotten pregers by using 2 condoms and b-control
