According to the latest reports out of the GM winter meetings in Orlando, only the Mets, Angels, Dodgers and Giants are currently negotiating with Boras over A-Rod. In addition, the Yankees expect to offer A-Rod arbitration, which would be a possible way to keep the lines of communication open or more likely to get a draft pick from whoever signs A-Rod. If you look at the 4 teams interested in A-Rod, the most home run friendly park, ATT in SF, is the weakest team. If A-Rod is looking for a winner, SF does not make sense. if he is just looking for $$ then A-Rod will go to the highest bidder. If A-Rod goes to either LA team, 50 home runs may be more difficult. I don't know what the new stadium the Mets are building will be like.

With him joining a new team, coach and team of coaches, the possibility is unlikely. A-Rod's first year was absolutely terrible for an A-Rod who hit 54 Homeruns in '07. In '04 he hit .276, with 35 homeruns, and 113 runs batted in. Now I know thats good, but not compared to the three years after that, where in those three years he averaged 32 homeruns, a .309 average, and 118 runs batted in. Now thats more like A-Rod.

He'll probably do it all over again, my guess with the Angels or Red Sox, by having a non A-Rod like season, but having a season that any rookie would love to have.

i for my section think of the yankees choose for Joba interior the lineup except hughes somewhat impresses and could be as dominant as joba. the only reason i could even somewhat need joba interior the bullpen isn't by using fact this 12 months, yet he's the logical option to substitute rivera while he retires. i'm able to make certain him interior the pen if hughes and aceves provoke. that would make 7-8-9 ramirez-chamberlain-rivera, exceedingly sturdy. additionally i'm nevertheless preserving out wish for pettite over lowe. it may shop some funds for a bat. No, no one is invincible, regardless of if it may probably be perfect 2 rotation interior the bigs. i'm cool with the two of here: sabathia wang burnette pettite hughes/aceves pen: ramirez chamberlain rivera rotation: sabathia wang burnette chamberlain pettite pen: ramirez chamberlain

It all depends on what team he signs with. He's going to need a pretty protected line up to crank out 50.
