why do people say "this 'BUGS' me"?

why do ppl say that &where did it come from?

because bugs bug people...and when people say "you are bugging me" they mean you are acting like an annoying bug.

That is what I think.

bugs are pests, and it's like saying something is pestering you.

probably because bugs are annoying. therefore, if something annoys you...
