I have a 1998 Nissan Sentra with 70,000 miles. I'm having problems filling the car up. The pump at the gas station keeps tripping out as if the car is full. The check engine light came on and it's reading a EVAP Code. What can I do?

You may have something in the filler tube of the car. In certain cases, the canister evaporation unit for the fuel can plug as well, but normally that would cause other problems. The bit about your fueling up and having the pump trip like the tank is full is where I would start... looking at the filler tube and see if something has been shoved down there.
Good luck.

sounds like your evaporation canister is clogged with gas, or the purge valve is stuck, usually the result of overfilling the gas tank, you should always stop when the pump clicks off.

see a mechanic or wait it out

The smaller vent hose that runs next to the filler hose is kinked.
