I asked a question the other day about women loving football because my husband thinks that a woman should shop or do something else cause football is a man's sport and time for male bonding. I got a lot of answers telling me to learn more about the sport and surprise him or go watch the game at a bar. First off, I have kids I have to be with and second, I know more about football than most men. That still doesn't answer my question. Can women love football and watch with the guys and it still be cool? My female friends don't like football.

I've got NO PROBLEM with a woman watching football with me as long as she does these things: 1) She must know SOMETHING about the game! There's nothing worse than having someone next to you asking you questions every five minutes while you're trying to watch the game! The smart thing to do is to ask before or after the game! 2) If you watch the game, don't sit there and act like you're bored! If you really are bored, why watch in the first place?

Yes, women can love football AND watch it with the guys and still be cool! A woman who can roll hard like the dudes in that regard gets respect from me!

I am like you I love football. I do more about football than my husband. He is more into racing sports. But after being together for many years he does watch football with me. I was raised with three brothers and one of them was a good football player I learned a lot from him about the game. Plus I have a son who loves football.

I personally like it when a woman can watch football and understand what's going on. I find it quite sexy actually.
Not like some women who watch it because of the way the players look in their spandex or how they look physically.

Your husband should be proud that you show an interest in something he enjoys. I understand his point about the 'male bonding thing. But, there's nothing wrong with you watching it with him on occasion.

I say that anyone who wants to be my friend, and watch football with me can and should. I don't care if the gender is different. Talk knowledgebly on the subject, or ask questions cause that's what it's all about. Women football fans get a huge thumbs up from me, and you get a star!!!

My husband and I are Patriots season ticket holders. I love the NFL and find the business aspect intriguing and of course the drama and entertainment value of the games is a blast. We have two tickets and go to about 5 games each year. Our children are in college or out of the house so we give the other five games to our daughters my son and my nieces. When we don't go to the games, sometimes my husband and I invite friends over to watch games. Most of the girls could care less about the games but I have one girlfriend who knows the game and she and I have fun yelling at the TV. But most of the time, when we are not going to Foxboro, my husband and I spend our Sunday afternoons watching the games and having a blast. Its funny but with the Patriots scoring so many points early, my husband and sort of "lose track of the game" and we've had some fabulous 2nd half "nookie".

I keep my self fit (late 40's, 5'7" weigh 135) and I always try to look my best for my handsome sexy husband. Football is fun and enjoying it with the love of my life makes it wonderful.

The Difference between men and woman liking football
Is men that are hardcore football fans can not miss a week of
football wether its their team player or not.

Football is something to look forward to,and yes we look forward to being with our woman too.

Most woman football fans i have met they only root for their home town team and could care less about the rest of the league ,

Ask yourself if you and your lady friends had a tradition of say going shopping every 2nd thursday of the month and all of a sudden your man wanted to go ,it would put a cramp in your style because you are accustomed to the way you shop

same as football you have to get on the same level
not just because a player is cute or you like the color of their uniforms

I personally have no problem with woman liking football , my wife could care less about football she doesnt watch at all
but she knows how much i like it . she likes going to dance clubs i don't thats her thing not mine ....i tell her have with that

I love football (although I have lots to learn about the intricacies of each position).

My husband & I both think your husband is crazy. My husband says that there's nothing hotter than a woman who watches & understands the game.

yes.just like men can be cooks on foodtv.
I just think it's ignorance to say a women shouldn't watch football. simply because of their gender. Now tot actually go pro is another story. Not saying it can't be done but it comes with too much controversy. In your house, you can watch what ever the hell you want to.
