Not a wolf, but my friend had a half-wolf that I petted.
Also when I worked at the Wild Animal Park, I touched a white tiger, Asian Elephants, African Elephants, rhinos, and other various flora and fauna.

I saw a wolf up close...it was on a leash...but the handler asked me to not touch it...said wolves are not like dogs in that respect....
up to that point I had only seen wolves from behind a fence

Yes, both me and a friend of mine had wolves for pets.Mine was a gray wolf and she had an eastern timberwolf...a subspecies of the gray wolf. Good pets if gotten young enough.

A friend once brought a pup over that was supposed to be a wolf hybrid?.. I petted it, but never touched a real wolf, eeek!

*yes. i used to have one as a pet. she was the best pet i ever had besides my german shepard. i had her for 7 years and she was killed (shot in the neck) in 2001 by a police officer. he killed her because she killed a K-9 unit Labrador*
