Locate the CMOS battery (it's about 15mm dia, small silver 'coin') on the motherboard & replace it.

Before opening the PC case, make sure you remove the mains cable (DON'T just turn it off - the 'stand by' power will still be 'live' and you could trash your motherboard).

Before removing the old battery, make a note which way round it goes (putting the new one it upside down could trash your motherboard) .. and after taking out the old one, make sure you wait at least a minute before inserting the new one)

Most are type CR3020's (however check yours first) and they are about £2.50 (from the shops) or £1 or less on ebay.

This will 'reset' your BIOS clock .. you will have to enter the correct date & time when you turn on again.

I've not heard of BIOS lock before, but you mention that you bought your computer in 2004. It may be that the CMOS battery (the battery that holds the power for your BIOS configuration) is running low. If you take a look at your motherboard, it will probably look like an over-sized watch battery. I'm not sure how much they cost as it's been years since I replaced one, but you may be able to get one from most computer outlets and the like. Try that before you go spending silly money trying to get something repaired that isn't really bust.
