An example would be "I will NEVER steal!" Or "I will never talk down to someone because of their age or social status!"

I made the steal one because I had my walkman stolen from me when I was a kid. I worked hard all summer mowing lawns to save up for it and some guy snatched it from me on the beach. After that I vowed I'd never steal from anyone.

well I don't know if this counts or not but here goes.
in December of 1990 my friends and coworkers were all making their new years resolutions, I on the other hand had never made a new years resolution. to me it was and for the most part is a silly thing because I had never known any one to keep their new years resolutions, so why resolve your self to do a thing and then not go through with it. I finally gave in and made my new years resolution mostly so they would shut up about it and leave me alone:-)
my 1991 new years resolution was to be a nicer and kinder person as a consequence to that I have never made an other one because I am still working on the first one.

I was verbally abused all through school and my inner vow was that if I ever becaome popluar or well liked that I would never treat anyone as miserably as I was treated.
I am now and encuorager4god serving the Lord Jesus Christ.
I now never to listen spread or encourage rumors or gossip because I know how hard it was when it was done to me.
