Hi,
I have only been on the pill for 6 weeks and have now come of it, i skipped my last period and have now stopped taking it completley and am not going to go back on it due to it not agreeing with me (thrush). Will it take awhile for my body to adjust back again ie periods? Even though it has only been 6 weeks? Your advice is appreciated.

Yes, it will take some time for your body to adjust to being back off the pill.

As for the yeast issue, I found that one thing that helped when I went on a brand of pill for a time that was higher in estrogen that taking acidophillous helped control the yeast issue. Just wanted to mention this if you ever find that you need to go back on the pill in the future.

From what you've written, I'd say you haven't given the pill a good chance. Usually Dr.s prefer the patients to try meds for at least 2-3 months before deciding that it's not right for you.
The strength of that particular brand of birth control pill may either be too strong, or not strong enough. Again, consultation with your Dr. is always the best route to take.

Expect your periods to be strange for @3-6 months.
