An opinion is just that but most of the time when arguing your opinion people use insulting statements that unfounded such as it could be traumatic for the child when studies have proved that those statements are false. I don't have a problem with people sharing their opinions but I do have a problem with people openly lying about people of any sexuality, race, religion, or creed just so that they can take their rights away. So if you can give me an argument where your facts are actually based on scientific and/or psychological studies then I will not think that your opinion is bad. (BTW I don't believe that someones opinion makes that person bad, I believe the way they react because of those opinions makes a person bad. For example, I dont believe that the KKK is bad, I believe that the fact that they use their beliefs to influence the rights of an entire race is bad.)

I don't think you're a bad person, but I'll fight tooth and claw to keep you from legislating that belief. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, but when laws are passed preventing consenting adults from getting married because others can't stomach it, I have a huge problem with that. You can believe what you wish --- it's when your beliefs are legislated in such a way that they actually hinder the lives of others that I have a problem.
Also, there is no evidence that being raised by a gay couple is detrimental to a child. Being bounced around in foster care, however, is. Until someone can come up with a good, solid reason why children are better off in "the system" than being raised by a loving, stable couple of ANY gender, I will fight for the rights of gay couples to adopt. Or rather, for the rights of children to be adopted by loving, stable couples that want to adopt them.

You not a bad person you just have stupid opinions.
What the hell business is it of yours if we want to get married?
We all would not have invited you anyway and it really don't effect you. Just our rights that are being denied!
Imagine your spouse is in the hospital and they told you, you had no say in there care and you could not see them.
Imagine you spouse died and their family came and took all your stuff and there stuff because the house was in their name.
Imagine raising a child with your spouse from age 0 to 12 and having your spouse die and there family take your son from you because he is biologically your spouses and not yours.
If this was you would you not what equal protection under the law as applies to marriage.
Millions of children are in need of homes many age out of the system with out ever being adopted and are forced to be on there own. with no support with such a short supply of parents shouldn't anyone who can provide for a child be aloud to with provision that they are not a convicted offender or something.
Just so Everyone is Clear i think He is Against Gays adopting not adoption in general that would be even stupider.

Marriage and adoptions are personal issues that affect those directly involved. If you are against gay marriage, then don't marry a person of the same sex; that's your business. If you tell another person that they should lead their lives the way that you tell them they should, it is no longer just your business.
If these are your thoughts for your own life, you are not a bad person. If you want to impose your own views on how another person lives, then you are an intolerant person that could be thought of as a bigot.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course, and that doesn't make you a bad person. But others are likewise entitled to think your opinion is ignorant and uninformed.
The real question is WHY are you against it? Examine the reasons behind those reasons - doesn't it all come down to a belief that gays are somehow "wrong"? Then ask yourself if being homophobic is any better than being racist - if it's okay to condemn a group of people based on a simple quality like this.
If you think it's not okay to be prejudiced, well, then, how do you resolve admitting that you have a prejudice but refuse to do anything about it? Forget what other people think of you - can you respect yourself?

Because you are speaking out against another person's right to happiness when IT DOESN'T AFFECT YOUR LIFE IN ANY WAY.
Worry about your own life. Look after your own dreams. Make yourself a better person from within instead of trying to mentally force others beneath you; that's just childish.
Besides, I'll bet you have no logical reason for your opinion. You just say it because that's what you were told. Way to think for yourself, Junior.

you are not bad for having your opinion. you have the right to choose to adopt or get married. that is all they are asking for is the same rights you have.
there are straight people that are against anyone getting married and there are some gay people that don't want to get married.
who you sleep with has nothing to do with if you will be a good parent. i know people that were raise by gay parents that are well-rounded and more "normal" that those from heterosexual parents.

Because close minded people should have no place in our society. What do you think happens to kids without parents? They have to live in the orphanage until a straight person comes and adopts them, because a gay person couldn't. If gay people can't marry, then relationships are torn apart because of foreigners wanting to attain citizenship, but can't, ect.

A lot of people are against gay marriage, but I think you are the first one who is anti-adoption. Do you suggest we shoot the orphan who lost their parents in a car crash to put them out of your misery? If so, you are beyond a bad person. That one has me confused.

Everyone has a right to their opinion. Not to voice my own but, why should people who are able to offer a loving home not be able to adopt a chile who will more then likely not get adopted when there are teenagers having kids like no tomorrow and no one cares about that. I think that if my BF and I want to extend our family by adopting a baby, why should't we?
