Not an xBox 360, he already has enough videogame systems for a 10 year old. Does he have any hobbies at or away from school?

Why not ask him (indirectly)? Bring him to the toy store under the pretense of shopping for a coworkers son. Pay attention to his actions and what he says, you will be surprised at what he hasn't yet outgrown!

Do you know his favorite stores?
Gift cards always work, because that way he can buy what he wants and you don't have to worry about him not liking the gift that you got him.
Maybe he has a favorite singer or band?
You could always get him a CD or his favorite band/singer or a DVD of his favorite movie!
Hope I Helped! =]

legos has alot of more difficult, interesting projects for kids that age. bionicles, various characters, etc. my nephew loves getting new boxes of legos and bionicles because once he puts one together, he doesn't like to take it apart to do again later. he puts it up on his shelf with the rest of his collection. so he's always in need of new projects to do.
