Definitely not. I wouldn't think using that kind of system follows school rules. Especially if it was cheating! Don't pay him. Also, I'd recommend not getting anything from him again, if he gets in trouble, it's likely that he'll take every one of his customers down with him.

Next time try a different study method.

Actually making your OWN study guide can be extremely beneficial! Because while you're making it, you're reviewing the material, and prioritizing the most important facts in your head. You could also try a study group with some friends. Or looking online and seeing if you history textbook has a website with some practice quizzes or activities on it.

My point is, this guy is bad news.

Either one of two things could happen:

1. He'll black mail you by saying if you don't pay him he'll tell faculty.

2. He won't tell faculty so he won't get into trouble also and so can't do anything about you not paying.

I would remind him of his payment "policy" and never do it again. Even though it sounds lame, ask your teacher or a tutor provided by the school for help. That way you'll know that you're getting the right information.

But if you meant an actual study guide, not answer key, then you've done nothing wrong and can't get into trouble at school if he decides to tell some one. Again, remind him of his policy and stick to an actual legitimate course of studying the next time.

If you think you are going to get beat up for not paying him then you probably should just pay him, it is only $3. But if you aren't afraid of that and want to do what's right, don't pay him. He told you if you got below a 90% you wouldn't have to pay, which you did, so you shouldn't pay.

As a matter of principle if he said you don't have to pay if below 90% than technically you don't have to pay. If you want him off your case, suck it up and pay the three bucks, then make sure you let all your friends know not to associate with him!

He doesn't sound very cool to me : )

If your grade was far below a 90, like say in the 70s or below, I wouldn't pay. If it was like 85 or higher, then I would because it's not a substantial difference. You could just tell him to be a man and stick to his promise, what could he say to that?

Are you seriously willing to make an enemy over 3 dollars? You need to pay and just be happy over the fact that you didn't get busted. Also-why was this such a crisis? Its 3 dollars.

Well,he may be a 'jerk',but you made the deal with him,so I would just pay him and be done with it.Its much easier than trying to avoid him, right? Your 3.00 is worth getting out of what could become a real hassle!

Normally, I would say: "It's only 3 bucks!" But seeing that he's broken a promise AND how he's a total jerk, my advice is different. Tell him he promised. Stand up to him. Don't let him get away with three bucks. Then again, if he gets dangerous and angry, hand him 10 bucks and run like hell!

If it's only $3, why does he need it so bad? Give him back the guide and call it even.

BTW... You'll be glad to know when you leave high school, there are no "ultra cool" people.
