Hello,
I have a laptop with 2 slots.
I want to get 2 GB of memory.
So I will throw away my current memory.
And I need to buy 2 x 1GB chips.
Is this 1 chip or 2?
KTD-INSP6000B/1G 1GB DDR2-667 Module
or
KTD-INSP6000A/1G 1GB DDR2-533 Module

Hi There, Here's the scoop on what you posted.
Both memory sticks you list are 1 gig each so you would have to buy two of them to reach 2 gigs.
Now the more important thing is do you know what the bus speed of you're laptop is. The two you show have differing bus speeds, the top one is 667Mhz and the other is 533Mhz.
I believe you may have a Dell Inspiron or Latitude so you can check out the Dell information program on you're laptop to find out the bus speed, it should be located under "Programs".
If you need help finding you're bus speed you can post you're Service Tag number and I'll look it up for you; otherwise you can look it up yourself by going to Dell's website and clicking on support and following it to the laptop section.
"Note" Memory prices at a retail store will be much higher than you should pay. You can get 2 gigs of 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) at newegg for less than 60.00 with rebate. They deliver within 3 days anywhere in the U.S., it's the only place I buy computer parts from and I buy alot. Check them out here. Cosair is quality memory!
