Boy did we shoot our future paychecks on this war...Thank you President Bush! Did anyone ever believe the Iraqis would develop any kind of lasting affection for the U.S. for our liberating them from tyranny and introducting them to Democracy, a Western way they still seem to struggle understanding?

With oil now at the $100 a barrel mark, was this the future we bought into?

Whoever said we got into this war for access to cheap oil...was totally wrong.

Speak up Economists. How do we get out of this Quagmire?

Remember how after 9/11 we were all 'united'? We were just so 'united' but what that really meant was we conceded all our power to the Bush administration because we were to lazy to investigate ourselves!

I like the point about the oil. One of the selling points of this war was that oil would be cheaper. Now look at the price !
As for the cost, any neo-con economist will tell you that we just need to keep running up the debt. to pay for the war.

We are there for the strategic placement of the U.S. military for the protection of perceived US interests in the Middle East. We aren't going anwhere,
