YES!

If they go ahead and let Instant replay into the game I will very seriously think about not being a fan.

Heck, while we're at it lets put baseball on a time clock.
no inning can last for more than 15 minutes. at the end of 15 minutes (regardless of how many outs, men on base, or anything) the inning ends. Lets give each team 3 time-outs. You can call a time out in the middle of an at-bat. Heck, we might as well give the offense the ball while we're at it!

MLB is already watered down with the DH and inter-play. Instant re-play would make it worse!

NO REPLAY!!!!

No, I don't think baseball is already headed into irrelevancy, but instant replay could drastically change baseball for the worse. I don't want to see instant replay in baseball. Realistically, what they're looking at isn't going to change much. There are maybe a dozen home run calls that are wrong in almost 2600 games over a season. My big problem with it is that it would open the door for them to use replay in other instances. The human part of the game is a big part of what makes it great and shouldn't be tainted by technology.

The instant replay would only be for home run/in play or fair/foul. The instant replay in game 5 of the ALCS would have shown that Manny hit a home run, not a single. There was a similar missed call by the umpires on a hit that should have been a home run but was called a double for JD Drew in a game in July at Fenway against the White Sox. Those are the only two that would have affected the Red Sox that I can recall for all of 2007.

the MLB tried to speed up the game when they expanded the strike zone but with instant replay they are gonna slow down the game. baseball is great sport because sometimes you get away with one once and a while.

blended thoughts. happy that they try to develop the placement (whilst rather of a "purist" i think of that the belief of asserting that umpire blunders is "component to the game" is ridiculous in case you may restoration it) yet no longer genuine extremely joyful with the tactic they'll use. i could like that they as a substitute in simple terms upload a 5th umpire to each and each group and have them somewhat interior the ballpark. And enable them to make certain if a play would desire to be reviewed. I hate the belief of annoying circumstances - for one I hate to make certain the kind of comments constrained in any way. I additionally could question if it somewhat is accessible for a supervisor to manage the undertaking gadget. working example - abode group has a 10 run lead interior the right of the 5th and plainly like a hurricane is coming. maybe the vacationing supervisor makes use of his appeals in an attempt to decelerate the game in hopes that the rain could come till now the game replaced into genuine? Or ought to a supervisor charm performs to grant a reliever extra time to heat up? And what if an ump makes an exceptionally undesirable call as quickly as the appeals are used? Do you basically enable it slide or do you rather choose for to make certain the calls are ideal.

I dont like the instant replay as well. It kills the 'real, american, baseball' feeling to the sport.

i think it's great that they might FINALLY get instant replay. shame (even if they get it) that it will only be for disputed home runs.
