Well here's the thing. Men have this switch implanted in their brain(the little one), that suddenly switches on when they turn 50 and it releases a hormone that actually encourages them to believe that someone cares about their bowel movements. Usually they are overwhelmed with the compulsion to discuss this with their wives only (in their 50's and 60's) but lose all control(no pun intended) and run at the mouth to anyone who isn't fast enough to get out of earshot, when 70 plus.

There isn't anything you can do about it, there isn't anything your wife and family can do about it. It is my belief that this very thing is responsible for the vast number of men who die before their spouses. Someone really should be checking into that.

Happy birthday to you too. Enjoy your day, its all a hellish downhill ride from there.

Yes you should! I myself am over forty and dreaded the doctor fearing my annual prostate examination. But with enough lubrication and warm firm hand I got through my, although mildly erotic and quite enjoyable, colon examination. It's the little things in life that needs to be done and if reaching into your toilet to break up your stool to make sure all the corn has left you lower intestines then that's the price you pay for being a health man!

By the way...Happy Birthday Joe!

First of all, congratulations on reaching this milestone birthday!

As for your fecal physiology, just keep up the fiber, keep the dietary fat down [and don't eat any saturated fats or those vicious trans fats], drink lots of water, and get some daily exercise [even if you just walk for 30 minutes].

Oh, and remember -- if you have time to read something while on the john, you're irregular. Keep those fiber and water levels up there, baby!

Happy birthday, Don't worry about it .
My personal policy is ( at 46 ) not to worry about it till I actually
crack the glazing on the toilet pot with one of my "finer" efforts.
The moment that happens I promised myself to have a serious look at my dietary habits and correct the problem.
It has been plain sailing so far !.

Oh Joe, thanks for sharing your crap with us. It never hurts to keep an eye on those bowel movements at any age. I would have never guessed you were 50. Happy Birthday to you. May your bowels stay regular and happy for many, many years to come. =)
