(1)who thinks it's weird not see the braves in the playoffs ? (2) who thinks they'll be back in no time ?

It has been very weird over the last two years. Normally in the last week of the season, Atlanta is geting Turner Field ready for the postseason. Now, they're in reload mode. We need pitching and some clutch hitting. Then we can compete.

1 Defnitely weird 2 The braves have a great manager and great coaching staff so I give them a shot in the next 2 years hopefully the fags at shea stadium wont be aroudn

There's too much parity in the NL for anybody to make it year after year anymore. The Rockies, Phillies, D-Backs, Brewers, etc. are all good young teams. There are no dominant teams in the NL, and it doesn't look like there will be for a while.

It's been weird for the past couple of years. I hope they come back with as strong a pitching rotation as before when they had Maddox, Glavine, and Smoltz. That would be great to watch.

(1. They 'aint the Braves in the '90's. Their getting old. Smoltz is just not SMOLTZ like he used to be. Maddux is gone and Glavine is goine as well.
(2. It would be tough. You have the Mets in the NL East and the Phillies and the Padres to compete with in the NL Wild Card. They have a 50/50 playoff chance next year.

i do. i'm a met fan, so i'm thrilled, but yeah! they've been the NL east dynasty and an NL force for the past 20 years. They're still a good team and as long as they get some more pitching and retain Teixeira, they could win the division next year!!!!

Watching them during the season it doesn't seem weird. They gotta fill somw holes starting pitching and center fielder if they want to make it back quick. Understand it but hated to see Edgar R. go

I think it's totally weird, they're a great team. They should be able to go next year. I totally hate that we lost Andruw Jones and Edgar Renteria. Andruw was my fave and Renteria is a really good player too.
