Single. B/c my releationship now sucks!

Boy, you sure ask the tough questions! Now that I'm single, I'm happy to have my privacy, but I get lonely. When My Steve was alive, I was mostly glad to be with him, up until the last couple of months before he committed suicide, when he was more and more morose all the time. So I guess I'd have to say I am happier single, because the last I was happy in a relationship was over two years ago, and I've changed so much in that time that I can't imagine a "relationship" now. Besides, I'm too old for the kind I used to have.
I'd like having someone to talk to more often though. Maybe a neighbor who likes to visit, the way my surrogate daughter did when I lived in California. She's still there (with her new baby!), but I moved to St. Louis.

As usual, I want all sides of the rope. But, I was happy as a single before I got shackled - LOL - always working Fri-Sat nights plus a full week was hell on a social life. I miss the camaraderie of the boys - that's who I liked playing with as a child.
So, I love being in a comfortable, growing relationship, whether married or not. Being married is like having a business to me. You have vested interests and can build an empire simply - aha! - based on love.

Honestly, it depends on the relationship itself. With my ex, I was completely relieved when I broke up with him--I was SO glad to be single again, and I didn't regret becoming or being single. However, I am happier with my fiance than I ever was when single.

I always "think" I'm happier in a relationship. But, I'm coming to realize they might not be worth all the trouble they cause... so now I'm leaning towards alone, for right now. Although I do wish I had some company.

i'm single right now, but i think i might be happier in a relationship. it's been a long time, too long, since i've been in a relationship.
but knowing me, as soon as i get into a relationship, i'll remember why i stayed OUT of relationships for so long. lol
it's a double edged sword i guess. oh well. life goes on corkey.

In a relationship because it's not lonley like being single is and you have someone who cares about you. That's a good feeling. Sometimes I miss the freedom though.
