I'm afraid they may have already done this to us.
God Bless America: Add Sidewalk to that list.

Not if the Chinese Communist Party and Peoples Liberation Army have anything to say about it. The PLA is the worlds largest standing army, with about 2.25 million troops under arms. But this army is not configured to attack other countries or even to defend borders. It is configured to control the population of China. In reality, it is the gun held to the head of the Chinese people, a not so subtle reminder that to buck the system is to invite your death. The USSR fell when the troops in Moscow refused the orders to kill the crowds of protestors. It almost happened in China, at Tiananmen Square in 1989. The first troops brought in had been recruited from the local area and did not obey orders to fire into the crowds. Troops from outlying areas were rushed in, and the protests crushed. Since that time a hard and fast rule is that troops are ALWAYS transferred away from their home towns to serve their time. Tiananmen Square scared the chopsticks off the Communist leaders, and they are making sure it will never happen again.

Yes.
They along with The Telco Companies have already done this in The USA.
Businesses must follow the laws in whatever country they do business in. It is unfortunate that China does not believe in privacy or freedom of speech.
Hey, why would they turn over that info here, The USA does believe in this.
Don't they?

I am beginning to think that the government of China is more free, and fair than Yahoo, and that's saying SOMETHING for me! Yahoo is no longer "trustable".
