problem:
the dimensions of a rectanglular design are 7.5 cm by 12.5 cm. Eah is 37.5% of the original design. What are the original dimensions.

What is the answer and how do you solve it?
i was absent from school so i am not sure and i don't want to fail

Just divide both of the measurements by %37.5

If you express "7.5 cm is 35% of the original dimension" mathematically you have

7.5 cm = 0.35 * OriginalDimension

so you can readily rearrange the expression as

7.5 cm/0.35 = OriginalDimension

Do the same for the 12.5 cm dimension

2.8125 and 4.6875
