I don't know if my babys feet are larger than normal but they seem big... we have 0-3 month socks that are too small and some 0-6mos that fit just right and she is only 6 wks. I have another pair of 0-2 month socks that fit normal with a little room...??? Are they supposed to stretch out or snug?

What do you think?

Her foot size now has no reflection on how big they will be when she is grown. You'll notice times throughout her childhood that her feet seem really big...feet are the first thing to grow at the start of a growth spurt. Actually that is a good thing to keep track of when your kid gets older...whenever you have to buy bigger shoes, you'll know that in a month or so, she'll probably need bigger clothes!

My son's feet looked like SKIS when he was born. They started out very big. At 12 months, he has pretty much grown into them. I don't think big feet on babies will necessarily lead to big feet on adults.

The age range on clothes can be pretty off sometimes, though. My son didn't fit into 0-3 month clothes until he was 3-4 months, and started fitting into the 6-9 month ones around 4-5 months! The actual size varies depending on the brand. It's generally better to go by weight than age.

Socks will have some stretch to them. Shoes will not. When my second daughter first wore a shoe around 9 months it was a toddler size 4. During toddler hood, she wore a bigger shoe because her feet were thick and it was difficult finding a good shoe. Now she is 8 and wears a child's size 3.5 or 4 and she is tall for her age as well. Compared to her sister who is 11 and barely fits a size 4 shoe and is short for her age. I do think that show size is relevant to height in girls as well as boys. Is your baby tall for her age?

My brother is 6'7'' and wears size 16 shoes and had the smallest baby feet ever even though he wasn't a preemie.
your baby girl probably won't be a "big-foot" don't worry!
