child support cash should be held in a bank where the women can get available funds for that month at whichever time. a documented amount should be written for the withdraw, then when the shopping is over for the child, a receipt should be brought back to the bank and the total should equal the withdraw earlier. this receipt should show purchases of kid items, toys, clothes, school supplys, and toddler feeding merchandise. this way 100% of the money will be spent on the child and the child ALONE!, i'm sick of these chicks beating the system getting all these checks + their normal job (if applicable) buying new cars, nails, clothes, high heels, and god knows what other obsolete items. if you think i'm wrong , fine and vice versa. this is an adult question and i dont want to see ppl saying grow up like always because they cant handle the truth

I agree with you to a point i don't think that the chick should be able to get the only to spend on her self i believe that the whole point of child support is for the child.....I have to deal with this with my bf with a previous relationship and i know that she doesn't spend the money on the kid and we have tried to take it up in court but they don't believe us...i hate the fact that here in ND all you have to say is that he's the father whether you are or not if they can take the money out of your check with out a paternity test being done or anything like that

First, you did not even bother to ask a question, I expect the posting will in the end be deleted.

Second, this is a pretty common argument dead beat parents make when they try to justify not paying support. However there are a few things to consider:
1. The child uses the home of the custodial parent. Some even need to get a larger home to have room for the child. As such part fo the rent is due to the child.
2. Utilities go up in cost as the number of people in the home goes up. Part of these utilities are due to the child.
3. Most families (once the child eats regular food) eat together and the same food.

I have not seen many instances of where the support paid exceeds the additional cost of having the child in the home. if you think you can do a better job, fight for custody instead of whining about how much you pay in support.

this point has been made and rejected in every court I can think of. If the mother (in your example) uses the child support money to buy a car, don't the children get to ride in it? If she uses it to buy a tv, don't the kids get to watch tv? If she uses it to get her hair nails done, don't the kids get a new step dad?

The money that is brought into the children's household (where they live) all goes in one account. Then the bills are paid, the food, clothing, medicine, school supplies and whatever else are purchased. Making the mother have the burden of proving which dollar paid for the child's tooth brush is crazy.

Your argument assumes that child support alone is enough to raise a child. It isn't. You also assume that the mother does not pay anything for the child. She does.

If the father and the mother still lived together, all of the money made would be put in one account, and used to pay bills and expenses. There would be no accounting to anyone how the money is spent, or rather which dollar paid what.

I and many other people being fleeced by the system completely agree with you. The only way to get this to change is to do something. First, log onto :

http://www.congress.org/congressorg/home/

and enter your zip code in the field provided. It will then allow you to send letters to your individual representatives concerning this isssue as well as all of the other abuses that State agencies regularly undertake against children and their perfectly fit parents (mostly dads). I have written many letters on this topic, and have receved some encouraging responses from our leaders. Essentially, they are aware that this system is flawed. The problem is that the staus quo means more votes for them. They need to start realizing that unless things change, the general elections are going to start booting them out of a job.

Secondly you need to log onto the following websites and click to the members section and join us.

I read one case where a man was so determined that his wife not have access to the money that he managed to convince a judge to allow him to keep itemized accounts that proved he spent the amount allotted for child support on child needs for them. However, paying rent, phone and utilities is also for the children. In general, women don't get a free ride or easy living through child support, in fact it usually isn't enough to pay the daycare bill. So perhaps you should do more research on the subject.

You whole rant is ridiculous. Nobody is ballin' off of child support. Trust me, your measily check is not doin' it.

That money also goes to provide a home, utilities, food, child care, diapers, and many other necessities. Props to all the single parents (bc it's not just woman) who make that check (when they receive it) stretch to raise a child.
