You don't mention the context. If it was through public information - court document filing, court decision, police report, etc. - and the information was taken directly from the document, then there is nothing you can do through litigation.

If it was a case of the reporter not contacting you on an issue you are involved in, then you should call the editor to complain that you never had the opportunity to explain your side of the story. If a reporter tried contacting you and you refused to talk or were not available, then you are out of luck.

You need to talk with an attorney concerning the pursuit of litigation against the media. It has to be proven there was malicious intent to successfully win in court, which is a very tough burden - though not impossible - to reach....given the true facts of the situation.

Im not sure exactly but i ont think they can. And if they can't and they have the you probably can deffinatly sue them. A good way to find out about these subjects are modern books of law and media.

If the lie about you when they say bad things yea. You can sue people for ANYTHING doesent mean you'll always win.
