yes (pseudo-democracy as the electoral college picks the president - NOT people count)

because the little people will be raising their kids, cooking their meals, having their babies, etc.

and the little people can easily poison their food, kill their children, etc.

so it is in their best interest to keep the little people happily fighting among themselves, ignoring the REAL issues.

so they will build a website called yahoo answers to keep the little people feeling as if their opinion really matters.

Interesting question. I think a lot of the scientific advances would have come from Europe anyway since most of the US are descended from European colonists. Maybe the innovations would not have happened as quickly though since Europe was economically crippled after the first world war. America's intervention in the wars and its advocacy for self determination greatly helped speed up the efforts to secure peace in Europe. However other than that I don't think the world would be in a much worse state than it is at the moment. Human rights movement would have went on regardless and Great Britain in particular was a big hotspot for Asian and African immigration. In fact the UK is a far more multicultural society today than the US.

The United States is a republic not a democracy. Democracy does not exist in the United States government.

It doesnt exist in the first place. We live in an alogarcy that has a lovely veneer of democracy over it. Infact its not a lovely veneer, its a **** veneer, any1 whpo cant see this just doesnt want to know. If voting changed anything they would abolish it.

Votes are not doled out based on 'control of wealth,' nor on income, nor on consumption, so yeah, Democracy still exists.

Mindless question unless you back it up with a source. I doubt you have ever been to the US.....because your facts seem to come from socialism and ignorance.
