I think your point is a valid one. Pat Robertson clearly cares first and foremost about getting a Republican in office.
If Robertson cared so much about traditional values (like he said he did during the '04 election), then he would have endorsed a social conservative from the Republican field. There are certainly many to choose from.
But Robertson's endorsement of the candidate who looks most capable of taking the White House for the Republicans shows that Robertson is primarily concerned with seeing a Republican win. Values take the back seat, in this case.
I just think it's ironic that the reason Pat Robertson told the Religious Right that they had to vote for Bush was that he would uphold traditional conservative values (anti-abortion, anti gay rights), while John Kerry was the enemy of values.
Now Robertson is endorsing someone who is pro abortion rights, pro gay rights simply because he looks capable of taking the White House for the GOP.

If that's what Robertson is hoping for, he's going to be very disappointed. Don't know who starts these crazy ideas...is it you? (j/k) The only way that Pat Robertson is smart, it's in getting into gullible people's knickers! Convincing his sheep to send him money has been an amazing thing to watch, over the years! As for the "Apocalypse", "day of reckoning", or the end of this system, "as we know it", many of us think this particular threat is just a way to keep the sheep in the pen where the televangelists can control them. Actually, the only thing Giuliani and Robertson have in common is that they are both Republican...considering religious teachings, they couldn't be farther apart!
