Imagine there's no countries. It isn't hard to do. Nothing to kill or die for. And no religion too. Imagine all the people. Living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer. But I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world can live as one.

EDIT: I can't believe I got 2 thumbs down. 20 years ago everyone would have known what I was saying. They would also know it was tongue in cheek. Sad world we live in. The classics are dead. Long live the Walrus.

Against. For one reason, no single form of government and set of laws is best for every group of people and set of conditions throughout the world. Second, an infrastructure that size is inherently inefficient. Third, the potential for abuse and consolidation of power is too great.

That wouldn't work. Country's are made up of people. These people have defined cultures, traditions, values, and allegiance. They're not going to forgo that. Way, way, too much history.

You mean a one world govenment? No thanks!! And have other people make all our decisions for?? America exists only because people have fought for its existence, and we're losing that.
Yes, I do recognize the Beatles lyrics above, and I still don't like the idea!! I always thought it was a depressing song!

Women's rights would be rolled back and the benefits proposed by men's groups would not outweigh the losses. Just look at how women are treated online, in multicultural communities, etc. Not worth it.

I see, one perfect world government to assist us in running our lives. Sounds like you should vote for Hillary, given the chance. That is what she and hers have been planning to do for years.
