help with baby shower thank you cards!?

Question

I just had my baby shower and I'm having trouble writing thank you cards. I want them to be really nice ! does any one know any sites to help me out I can't find any!

did any one else have this problem?

My best advice is to keep it short. All you need to do is have a sentence that thanks them for coming to the shower and/or for the gift, a second sentence that is specific to the gift (if you like it) or the giver (if you don't like the gift so much), and the a nice statement about how excited you are that the baby is going to have so many people who care for him/her. Then say "thanks again" and sign off.

Example:

Dear Grandma Sue:

I'm so glad you were able to come to my baby shower and entertain all of us with your own stories of becoming a mother. Thank you for the amazing baby blanket that you made. It means a lot to me that my baby will have a great-grandmother like you in his or her life!

Dear Aunt Enid,

Thank you for coming to my baby shower - it was lovely to see you again after so many years. I really appreciate how much thought you put into your generous gift of a complete set of encyclopedias! I know my child will have a great life with people like you looking out for her or him.

Try posting this question under Etiquette. You'll get a lot of good ideas from the ladies there. My suggestion is use blank cards and write a personalized note. In fact, whenever you get gifts you should do this. Always mention the gift specifically, it shows you really appreciate it. And also mention that you are glad they attended (in the unlikely event that someone came and didn't give a gift, still send them a thank you card for coming.

example:

Dear Aunt Mary,
Thank you so much for coming to my baby shower. It meant so much to me to share this special day with you. I really appreciate the lovely booties and cap you chose for the baby, she'll look adorable in them.

I just had my baby shower this past Sunday and I am having the same problem.
I havent come across any great sites but I am just going to write a special personalized note in each one about the gift that they gave me and i'm also attaching a copy of my latest sonogram inside the thank you card ( I had that 3-d sonogram done)

Well, i took pics of the shower and sent my favs of me and that person to everyone pluse i had cute poems form the baby to go along. they were really cute, i found the poems by going to google and doing a search for poems from baby. they have really cute ones where the baby is saying thank your for the gifts and things. you should check it out

I just had my baby shower this past weekend. I am using photo cards that I ordered from shutterfly, snapfish, etc and personalizing with a special thanks for their gifts and attending the shower. Good luck and congrats!
