Neither one has been identified.
Both killers mutilated the bodies.
The victims of both tended to be from the poor and lower class (though Jack the Ripper killed women and the Mad Butcher killed women and men).
Neither one made a great deal of effort to hide the bodies.
Both used sharp implements, and officials suggested the killer might be a butcher, hunter, or medical professional.
The killings ended upruptly.

I believe the cleveland killer was into decapitation and dissection, not unlike jack the ripper. Both of the murderers have not been caught. It is said that the 'mad butcher of kingsbury run' had been keeping the bodies and testing on them with chemicals, until they were too decayed to keep any longer.
