Keep a pad ready, usually when you start it is very very light and you will discover it when you go to the toilet. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you are very concerned you can buy very thin panty liners and wear them constantly (they can be cleaner when it comes to the discharge you are having too) this will mean that there would be something to catch your period before you discover you have it. Wear two a day (and change at lunch time). Of course keep a more absorbent pad in your bag just incase you get it there. Also take a pad with you or tampon when you go out just incase you get it at the movies or something

ok this is a great question for me to see because I am 13, and I got my period when i was 10. first off, you will probably get your period soon, since you said you have pubic hair and white stuff and yellow stuff coming out of your vagina [otherwise known as discharge]. If your boobs have been growing for about a year [if you have breast buds, little boobs that are about hand size are what i descirbe em as. hehe.] then you have all the signs.
Now onto the bigger problem. Getting your period at school. this is the thing i feared, and noo i didnt get it at school, i got it at a place way worse, a boy-girl summercamp. while i was in the pool with everyone else in it. luckily i got out before it got red in the water, although people could tell because my blue bathing suit had turned a redish purple color. =/. so i had to go to the nurse.
i am not sure if you are allowed to carry a purse at your school, but if you are allowed then i suggest you buy one. Put school stuff along with makeup in there to look like a normal purse. But buy one with a small hidden pocket so you can put a pad or two in it. This way if you get yours at school, you can ask to go to the bathroom and put a pad on. I also think you should buy some panti-liners to wear every day, so you can be safe when your period comes AND to keep dry from your discharge. If you are not allowed to bring a purse, you could put one thats not to bulgy in your pocket.
I hope this helps and good luck!!!

That little yellow or white stuff is called a discharge. It's perfectly normal as long as your not having sex. You can always wear pantie liners, they are much thinner than pads. Wear these if your having discharge anyway and if you think it's close time for your period. It's normal to have hair in your private areas and under your arms. Just make sure you take baths and/or showers at least twice a day. You will fill and smell for refreshed. I also recommend wearing thin but fitting spandex shorts under your clothing.
You'll be o.k Sincerely Deb

hey :)
everything you just described sounds perfectly normal for your age (Y) so dw about any of that if you were at all lol.
and also, when you first get your period, it's normally a very small amount, so it shouldn't be a problem. Just carry a pad with you in your bag from now on and then you'll be prepared for when your period comes along :) don't worry about getting it on your pants, because you'll know before it gets heavy enough to show, dw :)

Yes it will show. So what you should do is keep a pad or tampon in your backpack and a few in your locker at school. Go through every purse and put 1 pad 1 tamon and wipes in EVERY one..
If you are not sure which brand to use or which kind you may like try www.beinggurl.com they offer free kits, in the kit is like 6 differnt kinds of sanitary products for you to try.

you are probably going to start soon. Carry a pad or tampon in you purse it's best that way and you will feel when you start if it is heavy at least thats my experience. If you are still woried about it wear a pantie liner or have a change of clothes and tampons and some pads for you in your locker

yeah it will show if its bleeding enough. but if its not a heavy flow then no, u should just carry a liner until u start, its alot smaller than a pad and east to carry. then when u start, if ur at school then u can put it on till the end of the day then use a real pad.

but i myself dont think i would tell a teacher
if you have no pads and it isnt showing threw go to the office and call a relative and make up an excuse to go home
my mom understand when i do that
but usually when you start it isnt that heavy so it shouldnt go threw

Keep your pads and an extra pair of pants in your locker so you will be ready. Oh and by the way, you aren't supposed to be on here til you are 13!

what you should do is just to keep a pad inside your backpack so whenever you feel that light drippy feeling in you panties just go to the bathroom and use it. it probably will show.. you could just go to your nurse and ask for your mom to take you home or something...but ALWAYS be prepared so bring that extra pad with you in your backpack ok
good luck
