Would anyone disagree with me if I claim that this is one of the best, most profound, and inspirational songs ever written?
How he ever came up with the idea for this song is beyond me!

Wow, with all the Brad paisley fans I am seriously surprised no one has commented on this yet. Prior to realeasing 5th Gear, it was available to review streamed, every song full length. I had someone on my 360 page send the link to it and asked us all to listen and review it and comment what was our favorite song. I picked Letter To Me right off the bat, it was clear to me that it was the most well written song off the entire album or at least the one that left the most impact with me when I heard it. I know he leans towards writing whimsical funny lyrics but this one really caught me. There was a distinct maturity and insight to it so I have to agree with you that is was wonderfully well written.

I heard this song for the first time today on the radio, and I'm buying the CD for my best friend's 17-year-old son, who is having a rough time right now. It's like Brad saw this kid's life and wrote the song for him.

The song is about where he grew up. i should know the video was shot at my school there where no actors in this video it was all his high school class of 91 and the kids of john marshall thats all just thought you would like to know.
