Opportunistic. Hitler wasn't all that bright. Like another imperialist dolt that is currently in charge of a warring nation, he had the backing of his nation's wealthy elite. He merely pursued their goals, namely the rolling back of worker's wages and rights at home and imperialist war abroad.
