This is normal. The doctor should have mentioned the possible side effects. I don't think you need to worry or call the doctor.. unless they don't appear to be going away in a few days. Then definitely call.

Every doctor's office has a nurse available to take calls, why not call? They'll probably tell you to apply a warm compress to help the vaccine break down into the muscle.

You should double check with your doc to be sure but it sounds ok. And if you mean knots by hard lumps then my kids had the same.

That is a common reaction at the injection site. If you're concerned, give the doc's office a shout, but it is normal.

It's normal they say to put him in a warm bath and give him Tylenol it'll help you can also call the doc's office to be safe.
