What's the question? Or did you just need somebody to brag to? Congratulations, by the way!

That does mean that you are a gifted student in math. I can remember when I took the ISAT I scored a 99 in math too (as well as scoring 99% overall). But don't become arrogant. I know a man who also scored a 95-99 on the ISAT and only got a 21 (out of 36) on the ACT.

If you are gifted you know the answer and know what the 99th percentile means.

There are by the way a number of different criteria used different giftedness. The ISAT is not usually used.

Hello,
Congrats on such a great score. That score would mean you are qualified to do the next level of testing to determine if you are truly gifted. Test scores are not, thankfully, the only criteria. So if you are truly interested in finding out if you're gifted, and I think you should, ask your parents to contact your guidance councilor to get the ball rolling. You'll have to take some standardized tests to measure different ways that you process information. And from that, they will make the determination.

Scoring in the 99% on a nationally normed test generally indicates that you have some gifts in math. You can read more on giftedness here http://www.hoagiesgifted.org/ . There are different talent searches in which you can participate. Here is information on CTY from Johns Hopkins http://cty.jhu.edu/ . The talent search you can participate in is based on where you live. If you are out of the CTY territory, you can find more by searching Hoagies.

It means that you do as well as or better than 99% of people who take that test. It is very good indeed.

It means that you're excellent in math, but it doesn't necessarily indicate that you're intellectually gifted. Many people with average intelligence have superior talent in one particular area.

It makes no difference how highly you scored, gifted is just a word. However, you have done extremely well in your test.
