I find that supplementing my diet with a good mulit-vitamin, as well as vitamins C, E, and bioflavanoids, help a lot as well as avoiding caffeine, alcohol, and refined sugars strenghten my immune system. I don't seem to get colds or infections.

Since stress can weaken your immunity, may I suggest an herb like Passionflower; four 350 mg capsules, often relieve my anxiety as well as a prescription like Valium. It's the only herb that has worked for me. Passionflower is certified by German Commission E (their FDA) to relieve anxiety.

Other lifestyle changes that work for me are Hatha Yoga, meditation, and fun hobbies and good friends.

I can sympathize!

There are a number of herbs that are also quite good for cooking that you can use: Garlic, oregano, rosemary. For helping my husband de-stress (especially when he stomach is acting up) I use a tea of chamomile, ginger, honey, and maybe a bit of lemon. Also this year, I grew mint and lemon balm. During the season, I used lemon balm in his egg salad. And toward the end I cut back my lemon balm and mint and let them dry. They are now in a jar so I can use them for tea also.

Echinecea is said to be good for boosting the immune system, but don't use it if you're allergic to ragweed.

Above all, eat right, drink a lot of water, and get plenty of rest. Your body will thank you for it.

Good luck!

Drink tomato juice, have some healthy soups and Vitamin C. Also drink Hot Coco. These things help your immune system fight back what ever is in the air.

Take a multivitamin every day plus some extra vitamin C. 500 mg of vitamin C a day would be a suitable amount.
