Slope is equal to the change in Y divided by the change in X.

If on a graph, and you have two graphed points, you need to do Rise divided by Run.

First, move horizontally until you are in lined with the other point.

Y2-Y1

X2-X1

Basically, the difference of the two Y coordinates divided by the difference of the two X coordinates.

k.. i dont know how to right it out on the comp. soo ill try...

let say your 2 pts are.. (2,3) and (4,6)

m = slope

m= y - y
______
x- x

you would plug in 6-3 (for the y's) and 4-2 (for the X's).. then solve. and you have slope.
