If it's boring or not is a matter of opinion.
Some people, like, think that like, talking like this is like, totally stupid, but clearly you don't.

I hope you are being facetious with this question. If you are young, do you know if your male ancestors fought in the civil war, WWl, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, etc. That is history. It's what happened to your family before you were born. It doesn't have to be ancient history. Sit down and talk with your grandparents. You will see a very changed world from what we have now. Apparently now you are young, more quickly than you can believe, you will be old. Your life will be history to your grandchildren. They will say "I mean like its really boring" and you will fall out of your rocking chair!!!!

And what a way to garner a positive response, posting this for a bunch of history nerds to see. I happen to be one of those nerds, and while I understand it's not for everyone, and I'll admit there are certain periods/people I find less interesting than others, making a blanket statement like that just shows you're not putting any thought into what you read. Or, apparently, what you, like, type and stuff, LOLZ!?!11!

When I was in high school, I thought history classes were "ok".
In college, I avoided the subject altogether, because I thought other courses would be more interesting.
But I found in later life that I started to get genuinely interested in historical questions. I now read history for fun. Of course, I get to pick and choose what to read and when to read it :)

I love history, it's fascinating, that's why I'm doing a degree in it, though I appreciate it's not for everyone. I can't understand why though, I don't know why some people can't understand its importance, pretty much the same way you can't understand why I like it.

no way! you have to look behind the dates and facts, and think of the personal stories involved. it helps if you have a teacher who makes history come alive. i've been reading history since i was a little kid, and i find it's like taking a trip through time, in my mind.

last year my history class was like freggin boring. this year it was kinda fun, it depends on how your teacher teaches. we get play (educational) games while we learn and we get to use our notes for tests/quizzes. it was eazzieeee..
