Hi everyone =D,

I'm just interested to know if there is a such thing as a soul mate? I'm reading on Yahoo answers about how to find a soul mate and is there a such thing. I also wonder if people are confusing a soul mate with a person that they are compatible with and since they are so compatible they believe that they are their soul mate. There are many people that you can be compatiable with but not be your soul mate. I've always imagine a soul mate would have a connection beyond compatibility, like a strong bond that is unbreakable. Is it possible to be compatible with your spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend and not be your soul mate? Or are they one in the same? I'm interested in what's your take on this. Thanks.

I don't really do the "soul mate" concept just because your soul/spirit is the one thing that is yours alone. However, I was very fortunate to find my One, the person that matches me better than anyone else could. From day 1 we have finshed each other's sentences, said the exact same thing at the exact same time. We hold the same values, the same ethics, enjoy the same things and are sexually compatible by about 99%.
Soul mate, no when we leave this life and move on to the next our souls will be given paths. The best One that will forever have me in this life--Oh Yes!

My father left my mother after 25 years of marriage to pursue a relationship with his "soul mate". I think it is a term coined to make those who leave a relationship behind feel like they are doing something noble. I married the man I am in love with and want to spend my life with and I am sure everyone feels that the person they marry is such....until someone comes along that is different and exciting. And suddenly.... they have a soul mate! So no, I do not think a soul mate truly exists. It is just a "unique" way to refer to the new husband/wife without feeling like they left the other one in the dust for no good reason.

I don't believe in soul mates or that one person out there for everyone. I just believe that there are several people out there for everyone and you would be just as happy with any of them.

Yes, I believe soulmates do exist. I think they are those who we instantly connect with in every way without a longterm knowlege of each other. Upon connecting in such a wonderful way there is no doubt, no questioning that the person is your soulmate.

Your soul mate is one and only!
You can be "compatible" with many but you have one soul mate.
When you see each other you will just know and dispite all obstacles, objections, opposition you will be together!
My soul mate is out there and someday we will find each other!

soul mates do exist, but they may not be the person you are supposed to marry. in some cases it could be someone of the same sex as you. or perhaps, they are already dead.
