No Berkeley is a city in the East Bay, across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco. It is about 20 mins away.

You have get confused because you maybe have heard to say San Francisco refering to the bay area. The city of San Francisco and lot of cities more are in the Bay Area, and like the other answers Berkeley is located in the other side of the bay (east) you have to cross the Bay Bridge to go there.

I suggest you to download Google Earth and take a look of all the Bay area and san Francisco. I dis it cuz' i dont live in the bay area and now when i go there i dont get lost lol

No, Berkeley is not in San Francisco. Berkeley is located in the East Bay, which is across from San Francisco.

No and they're like 15-20 minutes away from each other. See if you were headed to San Francisco you'd pass right through Berkley and not even realize it because it's on the otherside of the bay. Beautiful city though at night. Richmond is also pretty.

Other side of the bay - near Oakland - not "in" San Francisco, but in the San Francisico Bay area.

I guess you've never visited the Bay Area, huh? lol

Berkeley is east of San Fran.
About 30 miles east.
Or about 10 miles north north-east of Oakland.
