I went to Blitzin recently and signed in as a guest. I tried to observe and play games that were unrated, but it said I must be registered. Has this ever happened to you.

Odds are that they don't want you to keep signing on as a "guest", and that, at some point, you should register. Assuming it's free, and as long as you seem to be getting something out of it, why not do it?
