From everything I've seen, yes. The laws work in favor of the the person who has comitted a crime. I don't trust anyone in the legal system who says they are trying to help me. They only care about making a buck and saying a case is settled.

Pretty much so. The legal system definitely seems to favor the criminals, rather than the victims.

havent had to deal with it. So oo. But I did get a speeding ticket 1 time 20 some years ago.

Yes. For instance, you can't file share on the internet as that is illegal. Why can't we? It's the internet! It's free, it's only information. I mean, if it only benefits me and I don't use the product for profit, I should be allowed to have it. Isn't this the information age?
