I think it's cool. He's encouraging hockey to the next generation of hockey players.

Besides, I get to see his choice of suits for the evening.

I like Don. He works tirelessly behind the scenes helping minor hockey raise money in hundreds of locations across the country and quite often makes appearances at his own expense. He'll drive miles to attend an event and drive back again. And he does know the game. You don't get to be a coach in the NHL unless you know a thing or too about the game. I really don't get the people that don't like him either. Yes he's opinionated but so are most people. He has a TV show because people like him and it would seem those that don't are in the minority. And BTW most of the players love him as well.

I think it's a good thing. He's supporting kids' hockey by giving them advice. Last week's advice was a do-not on playing the boards. Too bad he ran out of time, because he didn't get to the how-to on protecting yourself when playing the boards.

The only good word I will say for Don Cherry is that he laid the smackdown on Brett Hull last year when they were broadcasting together during the playoffs. As a Sabres fan, I rather enjoyed that. Other than that, I can't stand the guy with his over-developed sense of nationalism, bigotry, and pimp-suits. What a trumped up old bunch of nothing.

Um OK, Never thought he was a great hockey expert to be advising young kids but I don't mind him giving respect to the fallen soldiers and police officers, not enough of that from the media these days (they just give the numbers).

Don was good in his time, but I think he has run his course. As for his advise part - I think actually Howie Meeker was the one who started doing that on CBC, but I could be wrong. I just know he was always telling the guys in the truck " to back it a up a bit" hahahahha

Doesn't bug me at all..................he's a spokesperson for both the Ontario Minor Hockey Association and Canadian Minor Hockey Association. I think he does a great job as do many present NHLers (Jeremy Roenick excluded).

Yes.."Don is Don"....but The Don should stick to hockey during his HOCKEY show and stay away from politics or anything else not associated with hockey.

Don Cherry is a coach. Even if he does not have a NHL team to coach anymore he is still going to coach, and he does it through his T.V show.

So no i dont hate Don when he coach's the little ones over the T.V

I think it's safe to say he turned off most Amerk viewers with his pro-Canada stance during the last few playoffs. Ironically enough he seems to be the only one remotely involved in the NHL who's sticking up for them nowadays.
